Home organisation
Chronic Disorganisation & Home Organisation
When keeping on top of your home becomes overwhelming
Practical, judgement-free help to organise, declutter and regain control of your space, without expecting everything to become perfect overnight.
Practical support
You do not need a diagnosis to ask for help
You do not need to have a hoarding problem, use the word hoarding or have any diagnosis. Many different circumstances can make a home difficult to manage, and this service stays focused on practical support rather than diagnosing why that has happened.
Support may be useful when you are experiencing:
- Rooms gradually becoming difficult to use
- Not knowing where to begin
- Repeatedly starting organising projects without finishing them
- Paperwork or household items accumulating
- Difficulty finding appropriate places for possessions
- Becoming overwhelmed by cleaning and organising
- Falling behind and struggling to catch up
- Having too many jobs competing for attention
- Wanting practical help working through a home one area at a time
How support works
One manageable area at a time
I work alongside you to identify priorities, break the work into manageable areas and agree where to begin.
The service can combine organisation, decluttering support and practical cleaning. You do not need to completely declutter before cleaning can begin. As areas become accessible, they can be cleaned and put back into practical use.
Decisions about belongings remain with you. The work can take place over one visit or several agreed visits, depending on the home, your priorities and the pace that feels manageable.
Progress over perfection
Progress over perfection.
The objective is to create a home that works better for the person living there, not to impose somebody else’s idea of what their home should look like.
Clear boundaries
Practical help without assumptions
A difficult-to-manage home does not tell us why somebody is struggling.
We do not diagnose the causes of disorganisation or suggest that a person has ADHD, autism, depression, anxiety, OCD or another medical or psychological condition because their home is difficult to manage.
This is practical home organisation, decluttering and cleaning support. It is not psychological therapy, counselling, clinical treatment, social care, personal care, legal advice or financial advice.
